Singapore has just announced that the pandemic lockdown will be extended to 1st June 2020. Only essential businesses and services will be operational during this period. People will have to find ways to keep themselves occupied in their homes.
Event companies can probably expect recovery to begin in 2021 at the earliest. In the meantime, some companies have wound down while others have taken or are in the midst of taking loans to sustain their businesses and to avoid making their staff jobless. Some events industry employees that I personally know have even volunteered to take pay cuts to help their companies stay sustainable.
Here are types of events that event companies can consider offering their clients during this period.

Virtual Events
Virtual events are conducted over online platforms that offer actions such as a chatroom, games, quizzes and voting. These events are normally for virtual job fairs, virtual trade shows, virtual meetings and etc. Access to a computer or mobile with an internet connection is required for all participants as such it might be a little cumbersome for the older generation. Event companies are equipped with the knowledge and equipment to offer you seamless virtual events to meet your every need.
Virtual Reality Events
Virtual reality is an option for event companies to offer their clients as it allows people from all over the world to attend and experience and event without physically being there. In the past this was usually an option to complement an event. However in these times, it can be the entire concept. The only logistical issue that event companies and their clients will face with virtual reality events is that VR equipment must be owned or issued to all participants.
Live Feed Events
Live events are events that do not require the audience to be present at the venue. After sourcing for the right venue, the #eventcompany that you have engaged can liaise with the venue to setup for stage performances including entertainment, auctions, speeches and etc. with a live feed connecting the audience in their homes through a computer or mobile.
